Book’d was created to bring book lovers together through cozy reading experiences and meaningful connections. Whether you prefer reading quietly with others, joining thoughtful discussions from home, or escaping on a book-filled retreat, we are here to help you find your perfect reading community.

Book’d Club FAQ

  • Each month, Atiyeh and Mel choose books we are genuinely excited to read or have loved and cannot wait to share with the community. We also welcome recommendations from members, and those suggestions help shape future selections.

  • No, books are purchased separately. This gives members the flexibility to choose their preferred format, whether that is hardcover, paperback, eBook, or audiobook, and to borrow books from the library if they wish.

  • Membership is $17 CAD per month and includes two thoughtfully curated monthly reads, access to our exclusive Discord community, live discussions for each featured book, discussion recordings, and opportunities to help shape future selections.

  • Not at all. Each month, members receive curated picks and are welcome to read one or all.

  • No. After joining, you’ll receive access to your member dashboard, where you’ll find everything you need to join our private Discord community.

  • Each month, we host two separate live virtual discussions on Zoom, one for each featured read. These relaxed, thoughtful conversations typically last about 60 minutes and are a wonderful opportunity to share your thoughts, hear different perspectives, and connect with fellow members.

    No pressure if you have not finished the book, or even started it. You are always welcome to join the discussion, listen in, and simply hang out with the community.

    If you are unable to attend live, recordings will be available on your member page so you can watch them later at your convenience.

  • Absolutely. Membership is month-to-month, and you can cancel at any time. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you will continue to have access until then. While we would be sad to see you go, you are always welcome back whenever you are ready to join us again.

Book’d Party FAQ

  • Yes! Bring whatever you’re currently reading or something you’ve been wanting to start.

  • The event begins with a short social time, followed by a silent reading hour, and ends with optional mingling. If you'd prefer to read quietly the whole time, that’s completely welcome too.

  • Around 2 hours.

  • Yes! Light snacks and one drink ticket are included. You can choose from alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, including tea and coffee.

  • Definitely! Many guests come solo. It's a relaxed, welcoming space perfect for spending time with a good book.

Book’d Getaway FAQ

  • Bring your books, comfortable clothes and shoes, and any personal items you need to relax. We also recommend a reusable water bottle and headphones if you want to listen to your audiobooks.

  • Absolutely. Many guests come solo to unplug, reflect, and immerse themselves in reading. The atmosphere is quiet, restorative, and designed with solo and introspective travellers in mind.

  • Yes, we welcome pairs or small groups who share a love for reading and quiet. Please note that spaces are designed for calm and quiet
    reflection, so it may be best suited for groups who enjoy a more peaceful, low-key atmosphere. Space is limited so we recommend securing your spot early.

  • Yes, all meals and snacks are included from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks.

  • Yes! While reading is at the heart of the experience, you’re encouraged to enjoy the surrounding area. We also have a group activity planned for fun and connection.

  • We offer free cancellation up to 21 days before your check-in date. For cancellations after that, a processing fee will apply. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.
